Hear The Past - Record The Future | Antelope Audio

"Hear The Past - Record The Future" is not only a story about authentic vintage gear emulation, affordable interfaces with discrete preamps and rock-solid conversion and clocking, it's also a story about time travel, unexpected encounters and the very promising future. “I honestly don't know how this turned into a party. One second I'm in the studio bar, trying out some new sketches on the piano and the next thing I know, I'm in the middle of a bunch of girls dancing. So I'm jamming like there's no tomorrow when this dude appears out of thin air and almost destroys my gear with that lava lamp. “I'm like, boy, this stuff is mad expensive!”. Not only did he appear out of nowhere, but also brought that slick sounding gear. He has all those FX on a 'computer', that he said was hooked up to a Discrete interface. When I put on the headphones he brought, I could hear the sound morphing. It was all happening real-time. He had all these effects that sounded just like my own stack but there was so much more. So, we just kept going, we kept the party going, you know.” ~ Sammy 'The Keys', aspiring piano player, novice time traveler “I got this antelope tattoo when I was very young, I thought I made a mistake, I thought I could have gone for a cooler animal… When my boy Sto brought me to his times and I heard all these FX stacked in the latest and super affordable units by Antelope Audio… Man, I wished I made my tattoo bigger. You get the EQs, the compressors, 1960s and 1970s guitar gear and modern amps that I could never know existed. You can emulate all legendary microphones, you can get the real sound without breaking the bank. With this gear you can leap through every era of sounds to find your musical destiny! Somebody, let me relive my youth in the 21st century. ~ Sammy 'The Keys', veteran piano player, time traveling legend Hear The Past - Record The Future with Antelope Audio Learn more about the Antelope Audio FPGA FX: http://en.antelopeaudio.com/hardware-based-fpga-effects/ Check out Discrete 4 & 8: http://en.antelopeaudio.com/products/discrete-4/ http://en.antelopeaudio.com/products/discrete-8/ Music by NOCTKERN: https://www.facebook.com/nocktern/ http://www.nocktern.bandcamp.com/ SUBSCRIBE: https://goo.gl/17IMzy for more exclusive videos. Every Cool Tour Leads Back to the Studio | Antelope Audio

This is the story of the missing Zen. Two bands, two hi-end audio interfaces and the search for that good old vintage sound. Take one last peak at the case files. 'It all started from this Ukulele tune I had in my head… It hit me right after midnight. I turned on the Zen Tour and quickly sketched it out. Next thing I know, the bass guitar is plugged in one of the four Zen Tour Hi-Z inputs. And, man, the groove just started flowing. The mic pres sound so clean. I felt like I was in a studio. This small desktop interface is crammed with vintage FX. I put them straight to work along with a quick fix of old school compression. It was done. I honestly couldn't stop the music coming. I needed something more. I needed a master of the six strings.' ~ The Dodo, bass player, singer, dedicated moustache groomer 'I was hitch-hiking and when this hippie stopped in his van I knew that's my ride. I jumped in, spotted the Zen Tour on the dash. Next thing The Dodo told me this tiny box comes with 4 Hi-Z inputs and 4 more Mic/Line ins. I was almost sold. Then I heard it actually does vintage FX modeling. I have to admit, I'm a sucker for old-school gear. And when an interface has solid clocking, two freaking monitor output pairs… I knew we had to do it, man. I knew it's not only gonna be a ride. We had to jam.' ~ The Cowboy, guitar player, vintage gear nerd, loves the blues 'Getting in a van with two strangers is trouble enough, but real troubles started when we realized we needed more inputs. We were a band now and needed the Zen Studio+. The Jazz Mobsters were already after that. And I mean, they're already huge, they had their shot. Now it's our time. So we did it and it was worth it. You would do the same for 12 mic pres, the BAE, LANG or FET models or The Cowboy's endless stacks of guitar amp FX. After that last gig we're finally back in the studio. It's great to be home.' ~ Lady Chop-Sticks, drummer, finally cured of stage fright Get involved! Meet the Zen Family.
